Health & Safety at Work Regs 1999 states that employers must carry out safety assessments for the works they undertake, ensuring safety for their employees and the general public.
We describe this as RAMS – Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
Risk assessments include:
- Working at height
- Contacts,traps and entanglements
- Power/hand held tools
- Use of specialist equipment – this is often required for remedial works
- Installation equipment and materials-manual handling
The nature of fire damper installations means that operatives need to be trained in all aspects of safety and working on site. Our teams receive regular ongoing training to ensure they are competent to carry out surveys, testing and remedial works for fire and smoke dampers.
